An ecological house, built on maritime pine, has been launched in Carcans (a village in France, Aquitaine).
This type of construction is part of the project concerning the sustainable development and it participates in the economical development of the local wood industry. The maritime pine is viewed as a future species because it responds the stakes of our century by absorbing and stocking the carbon dioxide, one of the most important gases responsible for the greenhouse effect and global warming. The representatives of the village are encouraging this project.
To Pascale Got “this type of construction is more than favorable to wood industry, which suffers of lack of dynamism. The mare of the village Carcans, Henri Sabarot, has enhanced the fact that this village is one of the most important forested villages and “these constructions are being perfect integrated in the local tourism.
