The Canadian industry of forest products has started the International year of the forest by a growth of the demand for the softwood lumber.
The year 2011 had been declared the International year of the forest in order to preserve it and sustainable development. The president and manager of Forest Products Association of Canada has declared that there are being used the most modern technologies in wood industry (lumber). Improving these means of production, this industry will become an actor of bioeconomy.
Canada is the most important country, which is exporting forest products. The industry has developed it’s wood exports to China: from 109 millions dollars in 2005 to 385 millions dollars in 2009.
