Romania recorded the second decline in august, registered in EU’s construction sector, of 20.4%; a worst situation was registered in Spain (-34.7%). The EU registered only a 1.3% decline, according to the figures issued by Eurostat.
Great Britain (15,6%), Poland (8,6%) and Germany (1,7%) have recorde the most powerful increases in the construction domain, compared to the same period of last year, according to Mediafax.
The euro area recorded a decline of 8.5%, more severe than the figures recorded in July. In comparisson to the previous month, Romania recorded the third downfall between EU countries (of 1.3%) after The Nertherlands (-2.6%) and Spain (-1.8%).
Slovenia (5.2%), Poland (3.6%) and Great Britain (2.7%) recorded the highest values in August, as compared to July. In the EU a 0.3% expansion of the contruction activity was noticed; the deficit in the euro zone was of 0.4%.
