Covasna Fortunaforest production company working in the field of wood processing will receive European funds of over 400,000 euros for purchasing woodworking machinery.
"The European funds help us greatly continue our investment plan. We will acquire modern equipment for a more efficient wood processing, mostly CNC routers", said Dragos Sorescu, Executive Director of Production Fortunaforest.
Project „Acquisition ofwoodworking machines" was presented to the Economic Competitiveness Sectoral Operational Program (SOP IEC)," Financial support worth between 920,001 and 5,560,000 lei granted for investments in small and medium enterprises", and received approval in August last year.
”We planned the implementation for two years, in three stages. We are currently getting ready for the start of procurement procedures for the first stage and we have already launched the auction," Sorescu said.
Since the company has to start up investments from its own bugdet before the aproval of the European funding, but because of the lack of liquidity and the difficulties in obtaining credit, the company's shareholders chose a pre-financing of 35%.
"We started running the project running at a latter date because we tried to obtain a 35% pre-financing and we needed bank creditation. This required many documents and the procedure was difficult. We are waiting for the approval of the documents because we really need this money", Sorescu explained.
The company produces PVC windows and doors, components for wooden houses, paneling, flooring.
Production Fortunaforest currently has 50 employees and, in 2008, the comopaby recorded a turnover of aproximately 920,000 euros.
