A great piece of work is surrounding the quay from Bordeaux. 200 cubes from wood, painted in green, having shades, from dark to light green are aligned on a distance from about 1 km.
These cubes were located in order to bring to memory the offals caused by Klaus storm. The initiative belongs to a group formed by 35 artists from the region and professionals from the wood industry. The accent is put on the essential role that wood plays in keeping the environment. The event has the role to raise the public’s sensitivity regarding the amount of coal that wood can store. In this way, on every cube can be read the inscription 1 m3 of wood catches 1 ton of CO2”, taking in consideration the idea that one learns by repeating.
This event represents the spirit of collaboration between the artists and the professionals in this industry.
