A study made by the international organisation for environment WWF and “Earth Friends" organisation shows that Europeans want a higher control over the illegal wood cutting.
According to the results, the European Union citizens approves a new legislation in order to reduce and even eliminate the illegal wood cutting from Europe.
WWF and "Earth Friends" organisation asked the European Parliament and the European Union countries guvernments to take the right mesures in order to create a new legislation as soon as possible.
According to the study, made on citizens of 14 countries - also Bulgaria, around 56% of the questioned people consider that the wooden products they buy from the European markets are not legal.
Thus, unfortunately, the most important companies in the world working with wood and timber are also included in the same category, without having a blame. |
